Herd picks up 11 players in expansion draft

OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- The Wisconsin Herd has taken a major step toward filling out the roster for its inaugural season.

The Oshkosh-based NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks selected the maximum 11 players in the G League Expansion Draft Wednesday. The Herd will hold the rights to each player for two seasons.

Players drafted were:

  • F Vince Hunter
  • C Gracin Bakumanya
  • F Perry Ellis
  • G Corey Walden
  • F Josh Davis
  • C Michael Dunigan
  • G Jarvis Summers
  • F James Siakam
  • F Kyle Casey
  • C Cady Lalanne
  • G Tyler Harvey

The Herd previously signed former University of Wisconsin star Bronson Koenig to a two-way contract, meaning he will split time between the Herd and the Bucks.

Jordan Brady is the team's head coach.
