      Gomez drops appeal, begins suspension

      MILWAUKEE- Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez decided to drop his appeal of the three game suspension stemming from a brawl against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Easter Sunday this year. He will begin serving his suspension immediately on Wednesday night against the Pirates.Gomez came out of the game Tuesday night, a Brewers win against the Pirates, after his back tightened up. Gomez leads the team with nine home runs.
