Mike Murad joined FOX 11 in August, 2015. He's the co-anchor of FOX 11 News at 10. In addition to reporting for FOX 11 News at 5 and 9, Mike also reports for our Making a Difference series.
Mike's Wisconsin roots run deep. His sisters, mother and grandparents were all born in Milwaukee. He still has aunts, uncles and cousins all across the state. Mike also spent a semester of grad school on scholarship at UW Superior.
Mike holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from UCLA and a master's degree in Radio and TV Broadcasting from San Francisco State University. He spent the first 17 years of his professional career in the Pacific Northwest, most recently as an anchor in Portland.
Mike met his future wife Lindsay when both were reporters at a TV station in Yakima, Washington.
Mike was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but says some of his best childhood memories included coming back to visit relatives in Wisconsin every Christmas.
When he's not working, Mike is always up for a softball game or a round of golf. And if the Packers ever need a kicker, Mike is happy to come out of retirement. For one night of indoor football in 2000, the Yakima Shockwave recruited him to fill in when the regular guy went down with an injury. Obviously, Mike didn't quit his day job!
