Trial date set in Marathon Co. for man also accused of stealing crucifix
WAUSAU (WLUK) – A trial has been in set in Marathon County for the man charged separately in Brown County with stealing a crucifix from a church.
Brendan McSweeney faces four misdemeanor counts in connection with a disturbance Friday at a Wausau pizza restaurant. He pleaded not guilty, and an April 12 trial date was set, court records show.
McSweeny faces three felony charges in Brown County for two incidents earlier in the same day as the Wausau case. He allegedly stole a crucifix from an Ashwaubenon church, and then took it to attack a sign outside the FOX 11 studios.
No court date has been set in Brown County.
