MANAWA - Some Western-style fun hit our part of the Midwest this weekend.
The Manawa Mid-Western Rodeo was in full swing Saturday.
Aside from bull and bronco riding, people could also check out tie roping and barrel racing contests.
There were also pony rides and lots of food.
Organizers say the event is fun, while still giving back to the community.
"Last year the rodeo brought in over $27 thousand to this small town community and it goes to scholarships, boy and girl scouts, youth groups, church organizations," said event coordinator Connie Klotzbuecher.
The annual rodeo brings in more than 15 thousand people each year.
