BARABOO (WLUK) -- We're used to seeing animals roaming through Wisconsin neighborhoods, but not like this.

An elephant was spotted walking through the streets of Baraboo Friday morning. And it was walking around for a while until the elephant's trainers could be brought in.

It happened around 5 a.m. Officials say the elephant wandered less than a mile away from Circus World. It was roaming around for around 40 minutes, as neighbors were snapping pictures.

The elephant's trainers were able get the elephant back to Circus World without any problems.
