Rummage sale at adoption center benefits pets

Neenah - An animal shelter in Neenah made a difference for some furry creatures by hosting a huge garage sale to benefit the pets.

The Orphan Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Center in Neenah put on the rummage sale.

It isn't your typical shelter, because it focuses on helping animals with special needs.

All of the money raised goes to getting the treatment and medicine the pets need.

The rescue center has unique events to help get the animals that one-on-one care.

"We'll do a lot of things that are a little more unique to our organization and perhaps someone who might be in a shelter because we have a little bit more capacity for those one on one kinds of care," says Amy King, the Vice President and co-founder of Orphan Animal Rescue.

Sunday was the last day for the garage sale.

And to get rid of any leftover items, they had a Sunday special with a bag full of things for only two dollars.
