Many Wisconsin communities celebrated the birthday of our country's flag Saturday.

The Flag Day museum in Waubeka held an observance program and parade.

This year's theme was the U.S Army.

Afterwards, families gathered for hayrides and games.

All activities were free of charge.

Closer to home, the city of Appleton held its 64th annual Flag Day parade.

This year it honored the U.S. Marine Corps.

More than 100 entries all paying tribute to the U.S. flag made their way through the downtown area.

It was a sea of red white and blue attire! And for those who didn't have a flag, free ones were handed out before the parade began.
