Winter Family Fest held in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- Families and residents bundled up in Oshkosh Sunday and took to the ice.
The Winter Family Fest was today at the Riverside Park Ice Rink.
Visitors who didn't want to skate could go inside and get their faces painted, jump in a bounce house, and watch a magician.
There were wintery drinks and food.
It was a chance for families to get outdoors and have fun.
"It's fantastic. I mean Oshkosh is the event city so there needs to be something to do year round. So we wanted to bring the ice rink and do a big kickoff for the kids, offer different activities, ya know, balloons and different things. So they can get outside and get some fresh air in the middle of winter when everyone is kind of a couch potato," said Chanda Anderson, advocate for Downtown Oshkosh.
The Riverside Park ice rink is completely privately funded.
