Weekend burglaries, break-ins keep Oshkosh police busy

OSHKOSH - More than a dozen total burglaries and thefts from vehicles happened over the weekend, police say.

On Saturday, police responded to one overnight burglary and six break-ins to vehicles.

The burglary happened at a business in the 500 block of N. Main St. Cash was stolen from the till; police aren't saying how much.

Two of the vehicle break-ins happened in the 1600 block of Burdick Ave. The burglar took loose change from one of the vehicles and broke in to the second, but apparently did not take anything. Four other thefts happened on N. Main St. At 1 N. Main, a GPS unit and a set of golf clubs were taken from two vehicles. Golf clubs were also stolen from vehicles in the 400 and 500 blocks of N. Main; a stereo system was also stolen from one of the vehicles.

On Sunday morning, police investigated three overnight burglaries.

In the 500 block of N. Main St., a burglar broke into a business around 12:45 a.m. and stole cash. Surveillance video showed the burglar to be around 5-foot-10, 220 lbs., wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants, a hood, mask and gloves.

In the 1100 block of High Ave., a burglar took cash and electronics from a home.

In the 500 block of Pearl Ave., someone tried getting into a business but could not.
