TOWN OF BOVINA (WLUK) -- Two people are dead after a crash Sunday night on Highway 54 in Outagamie County.

Authorities say an 82-year-old man and 83-year-old woman from Illinois were killed after another driver ran a stop sign in the Town of Liberty. They were identified as David Rosol and Hazel De Witt of La Grange, Illinois. Rosol was driving.

Sheriff deputies say a 57-year-old Neenah man ran the stop sign on County Highway M and hit the couple's car on Highway 54 just before 11 p.m.

All three were taken to Theda Care Regional Medical Center - New London. Rosol and De Witt died at the hospital.

The Neenah man could face charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. His injuries were described as "non-life-threatening."

(Editor's note: The Sheriff's Department originally said the crash was in Bovina, but now says it was in Liberty. The story was edited with the correct information.)
