      Deal reached for city owned hotel downtown Green Bay

      GREEN BAY - The city of Green Bay is no longer in the hotel business.It reached a deal Friday, to sell the Clarion Hotel. Michigan based, American Hospitality is the new owner.The company bought the hotel for $2.7 million and will spend about $5 million renovating it.The city purchased the hotel in March for more than $2.5 million.It wanted to make sure the nearby KI Convention Center expansion moved forward.Construction is expected to be complete next year.{}{}
