MADISON - The state Department of Justice has wrapped up its review of a Green Bay Police Department investigation into a police officer involved in a controversial arrest.Officer Derek Wicklund was seen in cellphone video taking down a man on Washington St. in April. The video went viral online. The police department finished its internal investigation in May. The results of the investigation were not made public; they were forwarded to state justice officials first."The Department of Justice is not 'investigating' the incident, or making a judgment as to whether the use of force is proper," DOJ spokesperson Dana Brueck said. "We're reviewing whether the tactics deployed are consistent with basic preparatory academy training."The Green Bay Police Department says it has received the report. Department officials say officer Wicklund will have a chance to review the report before it is released. There is no set timeline for when the public will get a chance to see the findings.
