Celebrate De Pere kicked off its 24th year of family fun Saturday afternoon.
People enjoyed great food and local entertainment.
The could even catch people paddling in nothing more than some cardboard, glue and duct tape for the annual Redneck Regatta homemade boat race.
Proceeds from this weekend's festivities go to support local non-profits.
"There are over 30 different groups that actually make money for their non-profits this weekend. Actually, over the past six years we've raised $581,000 for local area charities," said Carl Castelic, Celebrate De Pere's vice president.
The festivities continue through Memorial Day.
There will be a kids fishing tournament, car show, and fireworks display Sunday.
You can get your tickets at the door. Veterans get in free with proof of service.
