Oconto County company receives WEDC grant
ABRAMS (WLUK) -- A local corporation received a grant today in Abrams.
The Oconto County Economic Development Corporation received a grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The corporation is one of 11 statewide recipients of the grant.
The grants are awarded to local organizations to help develop or expand innovative programs aimed at advancing the climate for entrepreneurship.
Officials with the company say they are happy to receive the grant.
"This grant for Oconto County will enable us to continue our ongoing working relationship with economic growth advisers," said Paul Ehrfurth of Oconto County Economic Development Corporation. "That enables us to continue to working with these 27 companies as well as identify some new ones."
The company received $43,000 which will be matched by the organization.
It will be used to provide coaching and training startups to about 20-30 companies.
