Two Gillett teens headed to trial
OCONTO - Two Gillett High School students who allegedly put cleaning solution in their teacher's drink are headed to trial after arraignments Thursday
Hailey Brock and Gavin Gilbertson return to court March 16 for pre-trial hearings, according to online court records. No trial date was set.
Brock pleaded not guilty, while Gilbertson stood mute, and the judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
The two are charged with recklessly endangering safety and placing a foreign object in an edible for allegedly putting white board cleaning solution in the drink Ray Johnson.
He went to the hospital for treatment and was released the same day.
Police say Brock admitted she spiked the soda, in what she called a prank. Police say Gilbertson helped.
