No one hurt in Friday night fire in Appleton


APPLETON - Firefighters responded to a house fire in Appleton Friday night.

Appleton fire crews responded to a home on the 900 block of North Drew Street around 10:30 p.m.

The call was for a fire in an attached garage. When crews arrived, the fire had spread to the house.

Officials say the incident caused extensive fire, smoke and water damage to the house.

Police say a family of five, two adults and three children, was displaced. Two cats died in the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

A damage estimate was not immediately available.
