Todd Blahnik has been named Director of Catholic Educational Services for the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System. Blahnik has been a school administrator for 16 years, most recently at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic School in Austin, Texas. A native of Door County, Blahnik has a bachelor's degree from St. Norbert College and a master's degree from the University of San Francisco Institute for Catholic Educational Leadership. Blahnik's wife, Crystal, will be taking over as principal of St. Bernard Catholic School in Green Bay in the fall. Blahnik's brother Jason is a priest assigned to the Newman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Blahnik replaces Deacon Tony Abts, who will be taking over as the diocese's diaconate director.
Mike Mauthe has been named principal of St. Francis Xavier High School. Mauthe is currently principal at Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh, but previously spent 16 years as a teacher and coach at Xavier. Mauthe replaces Matt Reynebeau, who is retiring.
Dave Callan has been named principal of St. Francis Xavier Middle School. He is currently principal at St. Francis Xavier Elementary School's McDonald St. campus.
Carol Wilant has been named principal of the McDonald St. campus. She is currently principal of the State St. campus, which is closing after this year.
All changes take effect July 1.
