Neopit man sentenced in handgun incident
(WLUK) -- A Neopit man was sentenced for firing off a weapon near a woman during an argument last year.
Dillon Peters, 30, was sentenced to six years and five months in prison and five years of supervised release.
Prosecutors say Peters pointed a handgun at the woman during a May 2017 argument at a Neopit home. After pointing the handgun at the woman, Peters fired a round through the couch the woman was sitting on.
Peters also had prior tribal convictions for offenses involving multiple victims, court records say.
