NEENAH - A 6-year-old Neenah boy is at Theda Clark Medical Center after being pulled from the Fox River Tuesday evening.

Neither the hospital nor investigators have indicated the boy's condition.

About 4:30 Tuesday afternoon police were called to Riverside Park for the report of a missing child. People in the park helped officers search.

Eventually, Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue's dive team found the 6-year-old in the water.

Neenah Police Chief Kevin Wilkinson says he's not sure how long the boy was in the river.

Wilkinson told us this is a difficult situation, but he's grateful so many people helped, saying, "In the midst of what we were dealing with today I saw good. In the last few weeks, especially in the news, we've heard a lot about division amongst people in our country and today all I saw was a whole bunch of people working together there was no division. They were just trying to find this 6-year-old boy."

Police have said they don't expect to release any more information until Wednesday.
