Name of man killed in Hwy. 29 crash released
HOWARD - The man killed in a crash on Hwy. 29 on Monday put himself in the lane of traffic on purpose, investigators say.
The man, identified as 59-year-old Paul D. Huntley of Howard, was killed around 8:40 a.m. when he was hit by a semi. Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, Brown County sheriff's officials determined the truck driver could not avoid the man because of the amount of traffic.
The westbound lanes of Hwy. 29 at Hwy. VV were closed for about three hours after the crash.
