Motorcyclists join together to raise money to fight Muscular Dystrophy

GREEN BAY - Sunday the Green Bay chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association hosted a fundraiser.The Miles for Smiles event brought motorcycle riders from across northeast Wisconsin together.Vandervest Harley-Davidson created a custom "Hogopoly" board game for the event. Money from board game sales went directly to the association.The MDA says the money raised can do much good in the community."Our kids can go to MDA summer camp free of charge, our clients can go to MDA free of charge, we have one here in Green Bay, and the research that goes on every day to find treatments and cures for muscle disease," said executive director Dawn Verhaagh.Nationwide, the MDA raised more than $159 million 2012.
