GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) -- Meijer is beginning to look for employees for its first Fox Valley store.

The Michigan-based retailer says it plans to hire 300 people for its Grand Chute store, which is expected to open in late spring or early summer. Positions include clerks, cake decorators, customer service, cashiers, receiving and meat cutters. The company says starting pay will be based on experience and specific skills.

Job-seekers can apply online. Meijer managers plan to screen applicants over the next few weeks, then contact potential employees to schedule in-person interviews.

Meijer's first Northeast Wisconsin store opened last year in Howard.
