MADISON - A man convicted of killing his wife at their Marinette home has lost another appeal, this time in a ruling by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Joseph Evans, now 48, was sentenced to life in prison for the 2008 murder of his estranged wife, Dina.

His first round of appeals were denied by the state appeals court and the state Supreme Court. He appealed again, and the appeals court denied those arguments in January. This week, the Supreme Court said it would not review the appeals court decision, according to online court records. That move leaves the appeals court ruling in place.

Evans' life sentence does not allow for him to ever be released from prison.
