Wood Fibers, Inc., has been ordered to pay $50,000 in fines and court costs for violations between 2011 and 2013.
Prosecutors say the company's own tests showed it went over emissions limits in September 2011 and September 2013. The company also was found to have kept exhaust gases from flowing upward, did not measure and record a drop in pressure in equipment that controls emissions and operated the plant without that equipment.
A judge also required the company to hire an air pollution consultant to to analyze the plant. The company will then be required to put the consultant's recommendations into place and run tests to prove it is following state law.
