Paul LaChappelle, 41, was also ordered to pay $250,000 in restitution to his former employer, Nemschoff Chairs Inc.
Prosecutors say while working as a maintenance technician at Nemschoff's Sheboygan plant, LaChappelle made an arrangement with a Florida company. LaChappelle would have Nemschoff order from the Florida company replacement parts for machines he worked on. LaChappelle would then sell the parts back to the Florida company for half the price.
Between April 2009 and December 2011, investigators say Nemschoff paid the Florida company $500,000 for the parts, and LaChappelle received more than $268,000 in exchange for those parts.
LaChappelle was sentenced to two years in prison.
