Man arrested, accused of abusing two-month-old baby
UPDATE: Police say they were notified Sunday that the baby had died.
TWO RIVERS (WLUK) — A man was arrested, accused of physically abusing a two-month-old baby in Two Rivers.
Police say they were called to a home on the north side of Two Rivers Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a baby unconscious and not breathing.
Upon arrival, paramedics resuscitated the baby. The baby was taken to a local hospital before being transferred via helicopter to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.
The baby remains in critical condition.
The boyfriend of the baby's mother, Matthew Brown-Edwards, 22, has not been formally charged, but made a bond appearance Friday in Manitowoc County court.
Bond was set at $150,000 cash. He returns to court Jan. 29 for a formal initial appearance.
