Little House on the Prairie comes alive at Heritage Hill
ALLOUEZ - A classic TV show came to life Saturday at Heritage Hill State Park.The Allouez park hosted an event celebrating the Laura Ingalls Wilder Little House book series.The book series spawned the hit TV show "Little House on the Prairie."More than 20 activities found in the show were on display, including chores on the farm and blacksmithing.Several actors from the show made an appearance , including one famous for being the mean girl on the prairie."That's what was great about Nellie is that people could identify, because everyone knows someone like Nellie Oleson. Everyone knows a school bully, everyone knows some awful girl like that, so I think that's why people enjoyed the show. There were problems you could identify with, even Nellie Oleson," said actress Allison ArngrimThe show ran from 1974 to 1983.
