Husband, wife killed in Two Rivers crash

UPDATE: Police say the passenger, identified as 80-year-old Beverly Frasch, died of her injuries on Thursday. The driver was identified as her husband, 89-year-old Richard Frasch.


TWO RIVERS (WLUK) -- An 89-year-old man is dead and his 80-year-old wife is in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in Two Rivers.

Police say the crash happened approximately 8:46 a.m. Wednesday on Tannery Road and 32nd Street.

An 89-year-old man was driving northbound on Tannery Road, with his 80-year-old wife as the passenger, when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle exiting from St. Peter the Fisherman parking lot.

When hit, the couple's vehicle spun out of control and crashed into a tree on the west side of the St. Peter the Fisherman parking lot.

The couple was extracted from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.

The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital and his wife is in critical condition.

The 93-year-old driver and the 79-year-old passenger of the other car were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
