Gov. Walker visits Sevastopol School District
SEVASTOPOL (WLUK) -- On Tuesday, Governor Walker was in Sevastopol visiting with students in the Destination Imagination program.
The Destination Imagination program is a hands-on program dedicated to the principles of STEM which is science, technology, engineering and math.
Two of the teams in the district placed in the top 10 at the Global Finals competition in Knoxville Tennessee last week.
The Governor gave the district a plaque for their accomplishments and watched the teams perform their winning skits.
While at the school, the Governor discuss the historic K-12 and rural school investments included in his biennial budget proposal
The Sevastopol School District is estimated to receive more than $1.3 million in funding from the state under Governor Walker’s budget.
