One of the men convicted in the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach has been moved to a different prison.

The state Department of Corrections' website shows Brendan Dassey has been moved from Green Bay Correctional Institution in Allouez to Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage. Dassey had been at GBCI since 2009.

The website does not give a reason as to why Dassey, 26, was moved.

Dassey and his uncle, Steven Avery, were convicted in separate trials in 2007. National interest in the case has exploded with the recent release of "Making a Murderer," a 10-part series about the case, on the video streaming service Netflix.

Avery is at Waupun Correctional Institution, where he has been since 2014. Before that, he was at the Wisconsin Secure Program Facility in Boscobel.
