KAUKAUNA - A Kaukauna scoutmaster celebrated a birthday Sunday that needed a few extra candles.

The scoutmaster turns 100 on Tuesday.

William Mooney joined Troop 20 back in 1931.

He was just the second scout to be named an Eagle Scout in the troop's history.

With this milestone, he is one of the oldest living Eagle Scouts in the country.

Mooney says he's still involved with the Troop.

"It was nice, I still like scouting and every once in a while I will still examine a kid for a merit badge or something like that," said Mooney.

Mooney is the oldest living Eagle Scout in Northeast Wisconsin.

The troop he joined was founded in 1927.
