Step inside the new Packers-themed home across from Lambeau Field
GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Meet Bob and Pat Endries of Brillion.
They are the owners of the 9,500-square-foot home off Shadow Lane in Green Bay.
"Started this last November at Thanksgiving, just an idea, maybe we should try to buy a place off Shadow Lane, across from Lambeau Field," explained Endries.
He says construction started on the home started in April, and wrapped up earlier this month.
The four-story home, has a total of 7 bedrooms, and 10 bathrooms.
Endries says the home has also has a few unique touches, "There's a urinal in two different bathrooms, the boys had something to say about that."
That includes an elevator, with access to all four floors.
Fitting for its location, just a few yards from Lambeau Field, Packers decor is prominent throughout the home.
"It's a tribute to the Packers," said Pat, Endries' wife.
Moving from inside to outside the home.
The deck located on the fourth floor, has a view directly overlooking Lambeau Field.
The backyard is a mini football field, equipped with what Endries says is state-of-the art grass, "It is real turf, just like the kind they have over at Lambeau Field."
But Endries' says they will still be calling Brillion home, "We're not going to live here, we will stay here some nights, it's for our family."
Aside from hosting family, and out of town guests, he says they also plan to open up the home to local charities, "One of the things we want to do is entertain, and sponsor events for nonprofit organizations."
The Endries didn't say just how much money was put into building the house.
But according to real estate records, the property was purchased last December for $615,000 well above market value. And the existing home was torn down.
