Injuries in multiple ATV accidents in Marinette County

MARINETTE COUNTY - DNR officials in Marinette County say there were two separate ATV accidents this weekend.The first incident happened on Friday night around 9:30 p.m. in Middle Inlet. A 49-year-old man was operating an ATV down an ATV route when he hit a pile of dirt.Officials say both the man and the ATV went airborne. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and Eagle III flew him to a local hospital. Officials say the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. There was no condition update for the man on Sunday morning.The other ATV accident took place in the Crivitz area. Officials say two teenage girls, one 13-years-old and 14-years-old, were out for a ride on a trail Saturday, just before midnight.Officials say the ATV hit a mud puddle and both of the teens were ejected. Both teens suffered non-life threatening injuries, but Eagle III was called in as a precaution.DNR officials said there wasn't anything suspicious about either of these incidents.
