Incredible, Edible Garden Tour educates the community

GREEN BAY - The "Incredible, Edible Garden Tour" took place throughout Green Bay Saturday.

People could visit six community gardens, each working to build a more sustainable food system.

One of the hosts was Howe Elementary School.

Paul Desjardins, a School Garden Specialist, said people are getting more interested in gardening again.

"People are just becoming more invested in where their food comes from and seeing that it comes directly from their garden to their plate." Desjardins said. "I just think that it's really a great way to engage a community and I think Green Bay has been bit by the gardening bug."

The goal of the garden tour is to share and educate the community about urban agriculture.
