UPDATE: The Brown County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in Wednesday's crash as Elizabeth Mocco from Algoma.

BELLEVUE (WLUK) -- One person was killed in a traffic crash Wednesday morning in Brown County.

The crash happened on the ramp from eastbound Hwy. 172 to northbound I-43 about 8:53 a.m.

It was a single-vehicle rollover, with one woman ejected from the vehicle. The Algoma woman, 34, was pronounced dead on the scene.

"She had been north bound in the inside lane when a vehicle that was next to her tried to merge into her lane causing her to lose control and enter the ditch where her vehicle rolled over throwing her from the van. The other non-contact vehicle involved did stop and a statement was obtained from that driver.," according to Brown County Sheriff's Lt. Christopher Knurr.

The crash is still under investigation. The woman's name has not been released.
