Green Bay committee discusses Washington Middle School
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLUK) -- Concerns over safety at Washington Middle School were also raised at city council's protection and welfare committee Monday.
Green Bay Ald. Mark Steuer suggested forming a group to study behavior issues at the school.
He called it a health and safety issue for the community.
Steuer said he understands it's up to the district to correct the problem but believes the committee could be part of the solution.
"So if that means gathering with out like-minded individuals that help the school board, I would say I'm all for that. I want to be proactive on this matter. School starts in a few weeks, so it would be really nice to have something in place a bit," Steuer said.
The committee tabled discussion for now.
Steuer was told to report back after attending Monday night's school board meeting.
