Green Bay "Glow Run" lights up downtown

Runners and walkers hit the streets for a 5K Nitelite Run.

GREEN BAY - Downtown Green Bay was glowing Friday night.Runners and walkers hit the streets for a 5K Nitelite Run.It was put on by Schneider Community Credit Union.Around 1,100 people wore glow bracelets along the course.Along the race route participants could party the night away with different DJ stations.The group is excited to be contributing to the growing nightlife downtown."You know, we are part of the spark to it," said Ross McDowell, one of the race organizers. "One thing, the city deck has made a destination for people all across the area. And we just want to be able to latch on to that and help bring awareness to this area as well."The money raised by tonight's event will go to the New Community Shelter and the Children's Museum of Green Bay
