Grand Chute woman arrested in child sex case
APPLETON (WLUK) -- A Grand Chute woman has been arrested on suspicion of child sexual assault.
Grand Chute police have released few details, citing "the sensitivity of the case,” although a search warrant was executed overnight at an apartment on Woodman Drive.
The Outagamie County jail roster shows the 33-year-old woman was booked overnight on two counts of sexual contact or intercourse with a child under 13 resulting in great bodily harm; four counts of failing to prevent child sexploitation; and one count of possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors do not expect the woman to appear in court Tuesday. No formal charges have been filed.
Police say there is no danger to the public and that the victim, or victims, are safe.
