Police say no evidence of human trafficking for incident at Fox River Mall
GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) - Grand Chute police say there is no evidence at this point to suggest an incident in the Fox River Mall parking lot is related to human trafficking, despite claims in a social media post being shared extensively.
A Facebook post by Savannah Nguyen details her mother's experience at the mall. Someone parked next to her mother, and after finding a baggie with jewelry in it on the windshield, concluded it "is exactly how human trafficking and abductions take place."
Grand Chute Police Chief Greg Peterson said while the incident is being investigated, there's no evidence to suggest it is related to sex trafficking.
