Oshkosh police seek man in connection with shooting
OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- Police are looking for a man in connection with a shooting.
A warrant has been issued for Daniel D. Billings, Oshkosh police say. He has been charged with first-degree reckless injury and armed burglary, both as party to a crime.
Police say Billings is wanted in connection with the July 27 shooting of a 24-year-old Oshkosh man in the 500 block of Hobbs Avenue. The victim was shot in the back and survived, but according to the criminal complaint, a nurse told police he would never walk again.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police when he went to he answered a knock at his door, at least two people pushed the door in and shot him. The victim identified Billings as the shooter from a photo lineup, prosecutors say.
The criminal complaint says a witness told police the victim likes to post to Snapchat photos of cash he got from selling marijuana. The victim told police he has been selling marijuana from his home, but he puts the money on a credit card in an effort to prevent robbery.
