Sheriff investigating teen's threat against Waupun High School
WAUPUN (WLUK) -- A 15-year-old is not being allowed on school grounds in Waupun while authorities investigate a threat the teen allegedly made on social media.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says it learned of the threat against Waupun High School just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators determined that the teen did in fact make a threat on Snapchat, but that the teen did not have the means to carry out the threat.
Details on what the threat entailed were not released.
In a post Tuesday morning on the district's official Facebook page, Waupun school officials said the Junior Senior High School building would be under "administrative hold" on Tuesday, meaning school would go on as usual, but students' and staff members' movement would be limited.
Authorities did not release the name of the 15-year-old, other than to say the teen lives in the Waupun school district.
