APPLETON (WLUK) -- The Fox Valley Symphony and newVoices choir are teaming up for a series of choral and orchestral masterworks.

And it's all thanks to a $40,000 donation from US Venture and the Schmidt Family Foundation.

The US Venture Masterwork Series will be a four-year commitment to present a collaboration of major work composed by renowned artists. The first masterwork will be performed next year, on May 6.

"We're really excited that this can be something that can help and retain a lot of great talent that we have throughout the area," said Greg Vandenberg, director of giving and community engagement at US Venture.

As a part of the project, both organizations are working together to identify education and participation opportunities for underserved youth.
