Appleton's first 'Bazaar After Dark Night' debuts
APPLETON (WLUK) -- A new event took place Wednesday night on Appleton's Wisconsin Avenue.
The Fox Cities first-night market, Bazaar After Dark, will run until 10:00 p.m.
It included live music, art vendors, food trucks, flame throwers, jugglers and family activities.
The aim is to bring attention to small businesses and pop-up vendors located on Wisconsin Avenue as opposed to the bigger events that usually take place on College Avenue.
"I think it's really important to have a thriving downtown and in fact I'm a big advocate for downtown Appleton but I also think that it's important that we draw attention to other business districts or other areas that are struggling a little bit," said Adrienne Palm, director of Pulse Young Professionals Network.
Tundraland, and Pulse Young Professionals Network, a program with the Fox Cities Chamber, hosted the event.
