Fmr. Community Service Officer charged with sexual assault
APPLETON - A Community Service Officer with the Appleton Police Department has resigned amid sexual assault charges.
Tyler Jochman, 19, is charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child and sex with a child age 16 or older.
The alleged victims are 15 and 17.
Court documents state Jochman assault the girls at his apartment.
He was arrested and jailed last week, but was released after posting a $5,000 cash bond.
Appleton police say Jochman began working at the department 11 months ago. He resigned on Monday.
Community Service Officers are not sworn police officers and aid the department with a variety of civilian duties.
Jochman will be back in court Tuesday for his preliminary hearing.
