Five arrested in Green Bay BB gun damage
GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Green Bay police say four juveniles and one adult have been arrested in a series of BB gun damage reports across the city.
Since mid-January, police say they have been investigating cases of criminal damage to windows on vehicles and homes caused by a BB gun.
“As a department, we understand the affect these types of crimes have on a community,” said Police Chief Andrew Smith. “I want to thank the community for their patience while these cases were being investigated and all the officers and detectives that worked hard on these cases to find people responsible for these crimes."
"We hope that this provides some closure to the community, when crimes occur in a neighborhood, it causes apprehension," said Capt. Kevin Warych. "Just know that the great work of the officers and the detectives, they never gave up, and they worked tirelessly to put some closure get some closure, for them."
Police say more than 50 counts of criminal damage to property will be filed against the suspects.
