OSHKOSH - EAA AirVenture expands its wings for their 62nd annual event with a series of air shows from the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

The schedule is now set for the Thunderbirds very first appearance in Oshkosh.

The performances will be a part of the daily afternoon air shows set for Friday through Sunday, Aug. 1-3 at Wittman Regional Airport.

The Thunderbirds will kick off their series of shows on Friday at 5 p.m. with a full dress rehearsal following the regular afternoon air show. Their performances feature World War II aircraft and full pyrotechnics.

The Thunderbirds have had EAA AirVenture on their schedules since last December. It took them several months to figure out the necessary logistics to fly in Wittman Regional Airport’s unique environment during this big event.
