De Pere private school files for bankruptcy

DE PERE - The Wisconsin International School filed for bankruptcy Thursday, according to court documents.

The De Pere school announced its closure last month.

The school says it has less than $50,000 in assets, and owes between $549,614.29 to between 100-199 creditors.

Among the debts listed are wages to 30 people, totaling $166,175.88. It also owes dozens of people credit for tuition paid, plus utilities bills, and other expenses.

A meeting of creditors is scheduled for Aug. 21 at the state office building in downtown Green Bay.
