Child seriously injured after Dodge Co. crash
Monday UPDATE: The child remains in critical condition.
The crash is still under investigation.
TOWN OF THERESA (WLUK) -- An 8-year-old child has serious and possibly life-threatening injuries after a crash Sunday, according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say the crash happened just before 3 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of State Highway 28/67/175 and State Highway 28 East.
According to officials, a 35-year-old Reeseville man was headed west on State Highway 28 East and didn't stop at the stop sign.
That's when he hit a 60-year-old Theresa woman headed north on State Highway 28/67/175.
The man had an 8-year-old in the car, both were taken to the hospital.
The man's injuries were not life threatening.
"This is the second serious injury crash at the same intersection within two weeks. Failing to yield right of way from the stop sign and lack of seat belt use were the leading factors in the recent previous crash and seriousness of those injuries, as well," a release from the Dodge County Sheriff's Office said.
