Carlson convicted in De Pere computer hacking

GREEN BAY - A former employee of the Unified School District of De Pere who illegally accessed district computers pleaded no contest to several counts Monday.

Jared Carlson will be sentenced Aug. 29, according to online court records.

He pleaded no contest to misappropriating identification information, criminally accessing data, and destroying computer data.

Police described him as a disgruntled former employee who used a teacher's user name and password to gain access to the system. He entered his own personnel file but then also destroyed data in the system including term papers, athletic records and teachers' lesson plans.
